Kids Take Part From Start to Finish
You book one date. We arrive, set up, run the event, and pack up the same day. The children spend most of it on their feet, trying the movements, volunteering, and hitting the pads themselves.
Every event is shaped by the age and size of the group. A typical one includes:
- Karate movement everyone tries
- Live karate demonstrations
- Kicking and striking pads
- Audience participation
- Volunteers from the group
- Safe interactive activities
- Plenty of humor
- Age-appropriate lessons
One Group, Several Groups, or the Whole School
One booking can cover a single group, an entire school, or a one-off event somewhere else entirely. If you are not sure which fits, describe your group when you get in touch and we will tell you what we would suggest.
A Special Event for One Group
A 30 to 60 minute karate session for a single preschool or daycare group, pitched at their attention span and run in your own room. It does not need to be an assembly and it does not need a stage. Preschool and daycare directors book this as a special event or an enrichment day for one group.
Multiple-Group Visits
One booking, several sessions. We rotate through classrooms or age groups in turn, adjusting each session so the three-year-olds and the second graders both get something built for them. Practical for larger centers and for schools with a wide age range.
School-Wide Assemblies
A full elementary school assembly in your gym, cafeteria, or multipurpose room, built around volunteers and whole-audience participation, so the back row is moving too. Some schools book it as a karate assembly on its own, others as the active part of a character education assembly.
One Day at Your Summer Camp
Camp directors book a single day inside a session they are already running, as that day’s special activity. We take one group or rotate through several, then your camp carries on as normal. Indoors or outdoors, all we need is open space.
Community & One-Off Events
Libraries, community centers, congregations, nonprofits, scout troops, PTA and PTO groups, corporate family days, and festival organizers book The Karate Experience as a standalone event as well. If you have a group of children and a room or a lawn, describe it when you get in touch and we will tell you whether it fits.

The children come for the karate. The themes underneath it live inside the activities, and Kyle draws them out as they come up.

All contact is made with equipment, never student-to-student, and activities are structured so that children are never put in a position to hurt one another. Activities are paced so a child who is hesitant can join in at their own speed, and nobody is singled out or put on the spot in front of the group.

Kyle’s Karate has been working inside schools since 2014, running martial arts programs for schools and daycares throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC, including Montgomery County, Fairfax County, and Loudoun County. We are insured and used to working within a school’s schedule, space, and safety expectations.
Kyle Mitcham has been teaching children since 2009 and runs the events himself, in rooms ranging from a preschool classroom to a full school assembly.
